Accountability measures for clients will be in place before the Outreach Centre relocates to Park Street. Other changes will also be in place including:
- Funding to support enhanced policing resources with the Charlottetown Police Service
- On-site security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- A Resident Support Team to work with homeowners in adjacent and nearby properties
- Perimeter fencing and an intake process for people to reduce loitering
- Improved lighting around the area
- Multiple clean-up crews to ensure garbage and debris are cleaned up in public spaces
- Appropriate procedures to work with clients who don’t follow the accountability measures or don’t show respect for neighbours, community, and staff
